I finally found a church I can see myself attending on a regular basis– The Church of Beethoven:
- Espresso Bar
- Poetry (by some of the best poets around)
- Music (by top notch real deal musicians)
- Two Minutes of Silence…
- Cool People
- Funky Warehouse Space
Community spirit without the religion. As featured on NPR…. I can’t think of a better way to start the week.

What a great idea (and post). I followed all the links and became convinced that I’d show up regularly, too… geography aside. I’d probably suggest a longer silence pause… up to five minutes… or a couple of 2-minute pauses, say at the start and close of the concert/service/fellowship/centering. So much sound, noise, cacophony inside and outside us. Silence can be golden.
By the way, you look great in your new photo! Love the new do, and that writer’s tool in full view. Very cool
