ABQ Cultural Conference

I’ve been invited to participate on a panel for the Albuquerque Cultural Conference:

Performance and Electronic Media: from Spoken Word to Social Networks
Alongside performance on a public stage, dvds and sound technology, digital technology adds new possibilities for addressing and creating community. How are these means of communication not only useful tools but change agents in themselves? How can they better support us as we engage in social issues?

**I have 167 friends on Facebook.   If I send a message to each of my friends, and each forwards a message to their friends I can reach 47,498….  (yes, I tallied the number of friends my friends have– I’m kind of a geek like that)  THINK !  how many people I can reach if they all forward a message to all of their friends.

(If I assume everyone has a link to 47,498 people, it only takes forwarding a message the third time for me to reach over 7 million people!)
